Heather Grote is a certified physician assistant who is seeing patients in the Saltzer Health urgent care clinics. She joined Saltzer Health in August 2020.
From 2015 to 2020, Grote worked as a certified physician assistant at Primary Health Medical Group where she assessed and managed conditions in various medical specialties, including ENT, dermatology, cardiology, pulmonology, orthopedic, gastroenterology, OB/GYN, ophthalmology and infectious disease. She also triaged emergent patient situations while following proper protocol and provided additional for patients.
During her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Idaho State University, she completed numerous clinical rotations in the Meridian and Boise area including: Dermatology (Ada West), Family Medicine (Primary Health), Pediatrics (Treasure Valley), General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Psychiatry (St Alphonsus). Out of town rotations included Internal Medicine (Healing Hands, Walla Walla, Wash.) and Emergency Medicine (North Canyon Medical Center, Gooding, Idaho).
She played four years of NCAA Division II Basketball while completing her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa.
Grote’s clinical research includes presentations about Sjögren’s Syndrome, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Gouty Arthropathy.
In her free time, Grote has served as a volunteer for Race for the Red, Homeless Stand Down, Mexican Consulate, Community Health screenings, Exams/Screenings for Boy Scouts, and Smiles For Life.
Her personal interests include strong coffee, college basketball and local farmers markets. Enjoys interior decorating, trail hiking, spending time outdoors, and playing with our bearded dogs.
