Nurse Practitioner Ashley Whitlow brings more than 10 years of nursing experience to her role treating patients in the Saltzer Health urgent care clinics. She joined Saltzer Health in August 2020.
Most recently, she worked as a registered nurse in the Hospitality Health Emergency Room in Longview, Texas where she provided bedside care and was responsible for triaging patients, starting IVs, drawing blood, and carrying out physicians’ orders correctly and efficiently.
Whitlow previously worked as a registered nurse in the Nurse Resource Center as a float nurse and in the outpatient surgery center at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Health Systems in Tyler, Texas. At UT Health Northeast in Tyler, was a registered nurse responsible for inserting IV catheters in patients and worked as an infection prevention specialist.
Whitlow was an emergency room technician and registered nurse at Christus Spohn Health Systems in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She earned a Masters of Science and Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas-Arlington, and an Associate of Science and Nursing Science at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi.
