Marlo Pichardo is an experienced certified physician assistant who works in the Saltzer Health Urgent Care clinics. She joined Saltzer Health in October 2020.
Recently, she worked as a physician assistant in a multi-disciplinary center offering office-based and hospital-based care for spine patients at Brevard Orthopaedic Spine & Pain Clinic in Melbourne, FL.
From 2005-2018, Pichardo worked at several other clinics and emergency departments in Florida, including Night Light Pediatrics Urgent Care, Indian River Medical Center, St. Cloud Regional Medical Center, Osceola Regional Medical Center, Dairy Road Urgent Care, Wuesthoff Medical Center, Parrish Medical Center and Holmes Regional Medical Center.
She also served as an assistant professor in clinical procedures at Nova Southeastern University in Pennsylvania.
From 1996-2004, Pichardo worked at Spine and Injury Centers and Lutheran Medical Center in Denver, and University Community Hospital and Moffitt Cancer Center Bone Marrow Transplant/ICU in Tampa, FL.
Pichardo earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies & Emergency Medicine from the University of Nebraska, College of Medicine. She received a bachelor’s degree from the Physician Assistant program at the University of Florida, College of Medicine, in Gainesville, FL.
Pichardo’s professional affiliations include the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Emergency Physician Assistants.
She is passionate about volunteer service and has participated in multiple medical missions to Guatemala. Marlo is married and enjoys spending time with husband and six children!
