Karin Hsu is a certified physician assistant who joined Saltzer Health in 2020. She works in the Nampa urgent care clinics.
Hsu’s physician assistant clinical rotations were at the Seattle Indian Health Board in Seattle; St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw, WA.; Swedish Medical Center, First Hill in Seattle; and Vail Dermatology in Colorado.
Her professional experience includes emergency medical surgical technician at Valley Medical Center in Renton, WA., medical scribe at Scribe America in Burien, WA., and certified nursing assistant at A Helping Hand in Seattle.
Hsu earned a bachelor’s degree in physiology at the University of Washington and a master’s degree in physician assistant at Heritage University in Toppenish, WA. Her master’s research project was on “Clinician Attitudes Regarding Calcium for Fracture Prevention.”
Hsu has extensive volunteer experience, including as a volunteer medic at Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center, homebuilder leader in Mexico, clinical assistant at the Vietnam Health Clinic at the University of Washington in Seattle; teaching assistant in Beijing, China and peer mentor at the Seattle Onnuri Church in Washington.
She has a passion for providing excellent care to underprivileged and low-income individuals.
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Hsu’s personal interests include traveling, volunteering/medical missions, bouldering and powerlifting.
